Safety at Corisse
Corisse is built so you can meet new people with confidence. Here's what we don't allow, what we do about it, how to reach us and where to get help.
If you or someone else is in danger right now, call Triple Zero (000).
What isn't allowed
Online-enabled harm has no place on Corisse, in a date, a chat or anywhere it starts here and carries on elsewhere. You must never:
- harass, bully, stalk, threaten or intimidate anyone, or abuse them in any way
- post or send hate speech or content that demeans people for who they are
- commit or threaten sexual harm, including pressuring anyone for sexual content or contact
- share, or threaten to share, intimate images of anyone without their consent (non-consensual sharing of intimate images, also called image-based abuse)
- use sexual images or information to threaten or blackmail anyone (sexual extortion, or sextortion)
- groom or contact anyone under 18. Corisse is for verified adults only
- scam anyone, ask for money, gifts, investments or cryptocurrency, or pretend to be someone else
- record, screenshot or share a video date, or anyone's messages or photos
Our Community Guidelines and Terms of Use set out these rules in full.
How we keep Corisse safe
- Verified adults only. Every guest passes an ID and live-selfie check with our ID verification provider, and is confirmed 18 or older before they can book. Your ID, explained.
- Never recorded. Video dates aren't recorded, and we never store audio or video.
- A person on hand. Cora, our host, is an AI. A person from Corisse opens the doors of every evening and is alerted the moment anything is reported, and can pause the evening at any time. Trained Corisse facilitators may help on the night, under a confidentiality agreement.
- Private decisions. Nobody ever sees a no. Only mutual matches are revealed.
- Block anyone. You'll never be paired again or appear in each other's results, and blocking in a chat ends it for both of you. They aren't told.
- Checked profile text. Words you add to your profile are checked for harassment, sexual content and scam signs before anyone sees them, and held for a person to review if anything looks wrong.
How to report
- During a date: tap Leave & report. The date ends at once and a person from Corisse is alerted straight away.
- After a date: choose “I felt uncomfortable” in your private feedback. It goes only to our team.
- In a chat: open ⋯ → Report, or report any single message or voice note.
- Any time: email hello@corisse.com. Tell us what happened, when, and the first name the person used.
What happens after you report
- We acknowledge every report within 24 hours, and review urgent safety reports as soon as possible.
- We never tell the person you reported who made the report.
- A person reviews every report. Reports are never sent to the AI. Where it's safe and lawful, we'll tell you what we did.
- If there's a serious and immediate threat to someone's life or safety, we may contact the police.
What we do when rules are broken
Depending on what happened, we may warn the person, pause their account, remove content, or remove and ban them. A ban stops that account, and that email address, from booking again. We're honest about the limits: no system is perfect, and someone determined could try again with new details. If you think someone we've removed is back, please tell us.
If action is taken against your account and you think we got it wrong, email hello@corisse.com within 30 days and we'll review it.
Tips for meeting in person
- Meet in a busy public place, like a café or bar, and stay there for the first date.
- Tell a friend where you're going, who you're meeting and when you'll be home.
- Use your own transport, so you can leave whenever you like.
- Keep your drink with you, and stay in control of how much you drink.
- Never send money, gifts or financial details to someone you've met on a dating service, whatever the story. Report anyone who asks.
- Trust your instincts. It's always okay to leave.
