Refunds & credits
In short: cancel at least 48 hours before for a full refund; later, a ticket credit. If we postpone or cancel, you choose a free move or a full refund. No fines, ever, and your consumer rights always apply.
We want refunds to be simple and fair. Memberships aren’t on sale yet. Corisse Live tickets are booked on corisse.com and paid through Eventbrite. This page explains how refunds and credits work.
Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Services must be provided with due care and skill, be fit for the purpose we promise, and be delivered within a reasonable time. Nothing on this page limits those rights. Where we offer more than the law requires, it’s in addition to your rights, not instead of them.
Memberships and subscriptions
- Major failure: if there’s a major failure with our service, you can cancel and choose a refund for the unused part of your membership, or compensation for the drop in value.
- Minor problem: we’ll fix it within a reasonable time. If we can’t or don’t, you can cancel and get a refund.
- Cancelling for other reasons: you can cancel at any time online. Your membership stays active until the end of the period you’ve paid for. See Subscriptions.
Corisse Live tickets
If we postpone, cancel or make a major change
This includes an evening that can’t go ahead as described, for example because too few people could attend (checked automatically 48 hours before). We email you straight away and you choose: move to our next evening for free (as a ticket credit) or a full refund through Eventbrite, including the booking fee. If you don’t choose before the evening was due to start, we refund you in full.
If you cancel at least 48 hours before the start
You get a full refund through Eventbrite. Email hello@corisse.com or use the refund option in your Eventbrite order.
If you cancel later than that
You get a ticket credit for a future evening, valid for 12 months, because your dates for the evening have already been chosen.
If you don’t attend
Your bookings are paused for 30 days. After a second missed evening, we’ll ask for a quick chat before you book again. There is no fee or fine, ever. If something serious stopped you from attending, contact us and we’ll consider it.
First-match promise
On evenings with our First-match promise, if you attend and get no mutual match, we automatically give you a free ticket credit for a future evening with your results (valid 12 months; one per evening; it can’t be exchanged for money).
If our technology fails
If a technical problem on our side means you lose 2 or more rounds, we’ll give you a credit automatically. Your consumer guarantees still apply, so if the problem is a major failure you can choose a refund instead.
Booking fees
Eventbrite charges a booking fee on top of the ticket price, paid by the buyer at checkout. We always show the total including it: for example A$49 + booking fee = A$52.81 total. If we postpone or cancel an evening, your refund includes the booking fee. If you cancel at least 48 hours before, whether Eventbrite returns its fee depends on Eventbrite’s own refund policy; your consumer rights still apply.
How to ask for a refund or credit
Email hello@corisse.com with the email address on your account, what you bought and what happened. We’ll reply within 2 business days. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method within 5 business days; your bank may take a few more days to show it.
Prices
All prices are in Australian dollars. Corisse isn’t registered for GST, so no GST is included. We never add card surcharges, and we never keep money as a penalty for not turning up, not replying or cancelling.
