Accessibility

Everyone should be able to use Corisse. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA across the website and app.

What we do

  • Pages work with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline on everything you can use.
  • Headings, landmarks and labels are set up for screen readers, and buttons and links say what they do.
  • Text and controls meet colour-contrast guidelines, in both light and dark mode.
  • Pages work on phones and large screens, you can zoom in, and touch targets are at least 44 pixels where we can manage it.
  • Cora's spoken lines at Corisse Live evenings always come with captions or a “Read along” text.
  • Animations are kept small, and we don't use flashing content.

Known limitations

We're a young service and we know some things aren't perfect yet:

  • Video dates rely on your camera, microphone and browser. Live captions of the other person aren't available, so the dates may not suit everyone who is Deaf or hard of hearing. A text chat is available during each date.
  • The ID check is run by our ID verification provider on its own pages. We can't change how those pages work, and the live selfie needs a camera.
  • Ticket payment is handled by our ticketing partner's checkout, which we don't control.
  • Timed parts of an evening (8-minute dates, 2-minute decisions) can't be paused for one person, because everyone moves together. You can change your decisions until the evening closes.
  • We haven't yet had an independent accessibility audit. We test with keyboards, screen readers and automated checks ourselves.
