Community Guidelines
Corisse works because people treat each other with respect. These guidelines apply to profiles, messages, introductions, Corisse Live evenings and any in-person dates arranged through Corisse. They form part of our Terms of Use.
Be real
- Use your own recent photos, and only photos of yourself.
- Be honest about your age, relationship status and what you’re looking for.
- One account per person. Don’t pretend to be someone else.
Respect consent, and respect “no”
- Anyone can decline an introduction, a match or a second date, at any time.
- Don’t pressure, guilt or keep contacting someone who has said no or gone quiet.
- Consent applies to everything, online and in person.
No harassment, hate or threats
No bullying, intimidation, threats, stalking or abusive language. No hate speech or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, disability, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age or any other attribute.
No sexual content or requests
Don’t send sexual messages, images or requests. Never share, or threaten to share, intimate images of anyone without their consent, or pressure someone to send them. Never use sexual images or information to threaten or blackmail anyone (sextortion). Never groom or contact anyone under 18. Escort services, sexual services and paid companionship are not allowed.
No asking for money
Never ask anyone for money, gifts, loans, investments or cryptocurrency, and never offer “opportunities”. These are common signs of romance scams. Report anyone who asks.
No commercial promotion
Corisse isn’t a place to sell, recruit or advertise. Don’t promote businesses, products, services, events, social media accounts or causes.
Protect other people’s privacy
Don’t share anyone’s private information, photos, messages or contact details without their permission, including after a date.
On live video, behave as you would in person
- Keep your camera on, show your face, and choose an appropriate, quiet setting.
- Dress and speak as you would on a first date in a public place.
- Never record, screenshot or stream a video date. Corisse doesn’t record them either.
- If someone makes you uncomfortable, use “Leave & report” straight away.
What happens if someone breaks the rules
Depending on how serious it is, we may:
- give a warning
- pause the account while we look into it
- remove the account
- permanently ban the person: a ban stops that account, and its email address, from booking again
We report illegal content and serious threats to the police or other authorities where required.
Appeals
If you think we made the wrong decision about your account, email hello@corisse.com within 30 days explaining why. Where possible, someone who wasn’t involved in the original decision will review it and tell you the outcome.
Report a problem
Use the report button on any profile, introduction, chat or live round, or email hello@corisse.com. See Safety at Corisse for help and support services.
