Corisse Live
What is Corisse Live?
An online speed-dating evening for Greater Melbourne, from home. Cora, our AI host, runs the evening: up to five one-to-one video dates of 8 minutes (or four of 10 minutes for a smaller group), with partners chosen for you in advance. The whole evening takes 65 minutes.
Who is it for?
Adults 18 and over across Greater Melbourne, of every gender and orientation. Each evening is for a stated age band and group (for example women and men, men meeting men, or women meeting women) and for what people are looking for, from serious to casual, or all intentions.
Who is Cora?
Cora is an AI, not a person, and she always says so. She welcomes you in the lobby, explains how the evening works, answers questions from our approved list, keeps every date on time and closes the evening. She never joins or listens to your private dates. A person from Corisse opens the doors and is alerted the moment anything is reported.
What do I need?
A quiet, private spot, a phone or laptop with a camera and microphone, and good internet. Open your evening page 10 minutes before the start, when the lobby opens.
Are video dates recorded?
Never. Video dates aren't recorded, and we never store audio or video. Recording or screenshotting a date isn't allowed either.
What if I don't match with anyone?
It happens, and it says nothing about you: nobody ever sees a no. We can't promise a match at any evening. On evenings with our First-match promise, a guest who attends and gets no mutual match receives a free ticket credit for a future evening.
What if not enough people book?
Every evening is checked automatically 48 hours before it starts. If too few verified guests can attend on each side, we postpone it and email you straight away. You choose a free move to another evening or a full refund. If you don't choose before the original start time, we refund you in full.
Your ID, explained
How does the ID check work?
Your ID is checked by a specialist identity-verification provider, using a scan of your photo ID and a live selfie (liveness and face match): the kind of check used in financial services. It takes about two minutes, you do it once, and it happens before you pay.
Why do you check everyone's ID?
So everyone you meet is a real, verified adult. It also helps us keep out people we've removed from Corisse.
Does AI look at my ID?
Our ID provider's automated systems, which use machine learning, check that your document is genuine and compare it with your live selfie. Corisse's own AI, including Cora, never sees your ID, your selfie or anything from them.
Does Corisse keep a copy of my ID?
No. Corisse never receives or stores your ID images, your selfie or your document number. We only receive a pass or fail result and confirmation that you're 18 or older, plus the date and a reference number for the check.
Is my data sent overseas?
It may be, for the ID check. Our provider keeps verification data only for a short period and then deletes it. It may be processed outside Australia, including in the European Union. Corisse's own database is in Sydney. Our Privacy Policy explains how our service providers handle your information and where.
Can I delete it?
Yes. Deleting your account (signed in, go to Account → Privacy & data) deletes your verification result from Corisse. To have your check deleted at our provider sooner, email hello@corisse.com and we'll ask them to delete it.
What if verification fails?
Nothing is charged, because the check comes before you pay. If it doesn't go through (often because of a blurry photo or glare), you can try again. If it needs a closer look, we'll email you once it's decided. If it shows you're under 18, you can't use Corisse. Still stuck? Email hello@corisse.com.
How does the ID provider keep my data secure?
Our ID provider reports holding:
- SOC 2 Type 2
- ISO/IEC 27001:2022 information security
- ISO/IEC 27017 and ISO/IEC 27018 cloud security and privacy
- iBeta Level 1 presentation attack detection (ISO/IEC 30107-3), testing that the live selfie can't be fooled by a photo or mask
- A GDPR data processor: it processes your data for us, under our instructions
Safety
How do I report someone?
In a date, tap Leave & report: the date ends at once. After a date, choose “I felt uncomfortable”. In a chat, open ⋯ → Report, or report any single message or voice note. You can also email hello@corisse.com. See Safety at Corisse.
Will they know I reported them?
No. We never tell the person you reported who made the report.
How quickly do you respond?
We acknowledge every report within 24 hours, and review urgent safety reports as soon as possible. A person from Corisse is alerted the moment a report is made during an evening. If you're in danger, call Triple Zero (000).
What happens after a report?
A person reviews it. Depending on what happened, we may warn someone, pause their account, or remove and ban them. A ban stops that account, and that email address, from booking again. No system is perfect, so if you think someone we've removed is back, please tell us.
Privacy
Where is my data stored?
Our database is in Sydney, Australia. We use trusted service providers to run Corisse — for example for hosting, email, video calls, payments and ID checks. They only use your information to provide their service to us. Some of them may store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States and the European Union. See the Privacy Policy.
Do you sell my data?
Never. We don't use advertising trackers or third-party analytics either.
Does the AI read my chats?
No. Chat messages are never sent to the AI. A person from Corisse only sees a message if someone reports it.
Can I download or delete my data?
Yes. Signed in, go to Account → Privacy & data to download your data or delete your account, or email hello@corisse.com.
Pricing & refunds
How much does an evening cost?
Our current test evenings are early bird A$49 + booking fee = A$52.81 total or standard A$59 + booking fee = A$63.35 total. Each event page shows its exact price and total before you book.
What is the booking fee?
It's our ticketing partner's fee for processing your ticket, paid by the buyer at checkout. We always show the total you'll pay, including the fee.
Is it the same price for everyone?
Yes. Prices never depend on gender or anything else about you. We keep evenings balanced with seat limits and waitlists, never price.
Can I get a refund?
Cancel at least 48 hours before the start for a full refund; later than that, you get a ticket credit for a future evening. If we postpone or cancel, you choose a free move or a full refund. There are no fines, ever, and your rights under the Australian Consumer Law always apply. See Refunds & credits.
Is GST included?
Corisse isn't registered for GST, so no GST is added to our prices.
AI Matchmaker
What is the AI Matchmaker?
Our next product, coming soon. You'll have an AI conversation of about 5 minutes with Cora about what you want, then receive one or two hand-picked introductions a week, each with a short “why you two”. No swiping, and every member is ID-verified. Greater Melbourne first.
When does it open?
We haven't set a date. It opens once enough verified members have joined across Greater Melbourne to make good introductions. Join the founding list to hear first.
How much will it cost?
It isn't on sale yet. We'll publish the price before it opens, it will be the same for everyone, and you'll see exactly what you pay before you subscribe.
Does joining the founding list commit me to anything?
No. It's free, it doesn't reserve a price or a place in a queue, and you can leave at any time. Update emails are a separate, optional choice.
